2013 Mersey Valley Tour | 26 Apr - 28 Apr

The event is a three stage tour consisting of an individual time trial on day 1, a road race through the Sheffield / Railton district on day 2 and road race from Ulverstone to Gunns Plains and returning to Ulverstone on day 3. The event placings will be determined on accumulated time.
Under 19 – Male and Female
The event consists of three separate races. On day 1 there is an individual time trial, on day 2 a road race through the Sheffield / Railton district and on day 3 a road race from Ulverstone to Gunns Plains and returning to Ulverstone.
Thursday 25th April – Ulverstone Wharf, Wharf Street, Ulverstone
7:30 - 8:30pm – Main Event Registration
8:00pm – Riders/Managers Meeting: Outline of courses, regulations, and other event-specific details
Friday, 26 April (West Ulverstone, Penguin Road)
9:30am – Individual Time Trial
Saturday, 27 April (Main Street, Sheffield)
9:30am – Road Race
Sunday, 28 March (Ulverstone Wharf)
9:30am – Road Race
>> Entries will close on Thursday 18 April, with late entries being taken at the discretion of Mersey Valley Devonport Cycling Club. Late entries will incur a late fee and riders will not be seeded in regards to numbering or time trial start times.
Official registration will occur on Thursday evening 25 April at the Gnomon Room Ulverstone Wharf, Wharf Road, Ulverstone between 7:30 and 8:30 pm.
Riders will need to provide a copy of the following when registering at the event:
1. A current 2013 Cycling Australia gold racing license, signed by the holder OR
2. A current 2013 UCI license, signed by the holder OR
3. A copy of the email receipt sent to the rider when their 2013 license was renewed
First - $1,000.00
Second - $500.00
Third - $250.00
Queen of the Mountains - $100.00
The winner of each Under-19 race will receive $100.00
About the Region
Event Parking and Access
Day 1 - Individual Time Trial (Queen Street / Penguin Road - West Ulverstone)
Sign on will be at the start line. Parking available at the Ulverstone Sports Complex.
Day 2 - Road Race – Start (Main Street, Sheffield)
Sign on will occur at the Sheffield primary school Henry Street, Sheffield. Parking available around the primary school.
Day 2 - Road Race - Finish (Top of the Bridle Track)
Limited parking available at the top of the Bridle track for spectators. Riders to ride back into Sheffield after finishing stage (approximately 5km).
Day 3 - Road Race – Start (Ulverstone Wharf, East Ulverstone)
Sign on will occur at the Ulverstone Wharf. Parking available at the Ulverstone Sport Complex (just over the bridge).
Day 3 - Road Race - Finish (Queen Street / Penguin Road - West Ulverstone)
The finish line is the same point as the start/finish line for the individual time trial. Parking available at the Ulverstone Sport Complex.
